Customized Racking System Design for Hitachi Rail Europe Limited

This project involved creating a tailored racking system to efficiently accommodate a diverse range of parts, pallets, and train subcomponents, ensuring compliance with technical and structural load requirements. With an investment exceeding £100,000 in an $81 million state-of-the-art manufacturing facility, 2h Storage Solutions was tasked with the design and drafting work necessary for the primary storage of complete train set components. The design phase spanned approximately 12 months, featuring various bay depths to cater to larger pallets in specific areas.

 

Pallet Racking Installation on a Mezzanine Floor for Vale of Mowbray

This project involved the design and installation of pallet racking atop a new concrete mezzanine floor for Vale of Mowbray, requiring extensive collaboration with structural engineers, architects, and the principal contractor to ensure compliance with technical and structural load specifications. With a project investment of £9,000, 2h Storage Solutions was engaged for detailed drawing and design work. The design phase, which lasted 18 months, evaluated options including pushback, drive-in, and finally, APR pallet racking systems to optimize storage efficiency.
